Tony K. Chen, Hacker
A clever string manipulator with an eye for design.
SAN FRANCISCO, Mar. 26 — I've been known to build and break things. Currently working on PeerLibrary, a platform for transparent peer review and enriching the experience of open access scholarly literature. In a system-wide effort to promote the adoption of open access policies, I founded the Open Access Initiative at Berkeley and also contribute to the Open Government Group at W3C.
My interests fall in the intersections of computer vision, linguistics and neurobiology. I believe in free software, open science and people being excellent to each other. Most of the conversations I have are with strangers, and that is by design.
